For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to manipulate time,
to be a driver and not just a passenger...
I wanna be a time traveller!
Hell, I guess everyone does, to one degree or another.
But none, it seems, more than this guy, Ronald L. Mallett.
This is just fascinating stuff.

Ronald L. Mallett, PhD is a professor of theoretical physics at the University of Connecticut.
He discovered a possible way to travel in time by applying Einstein's theory of relativity to laser light moving in a circle.
The program uses CGI to illustrate his theories.
Mallett was one of the first African-Americans to obtain a PhD in theoretical physics.
He was inspired to do so because he wished to travel back in time to visit his dead father,
who died when Mallett was ten.

Hey, Artist, Paint This! 2008
This one goes out to Kevin Belford.
He is a really good illustrator.
One of the best I know.
He made a t-shirt out of that "draw the pirate" add which I think is totally hilarious.
So this reminds me of that.
Sort of.
Or whatever.

A List of Names (1991)
that are sentences.
Yes, You heard right and,
yes, I know its a little silly but,
come on, you know how it gets at work.
Sometimes you just get so fucking bored,
the mind wanders a little and pretty soon
you and Andrea (receptionist) are obsessively trying to come up with famous names that happen also to be complete sentences when spoken.
It's a time killer is all,
but a relatively harmless one.
(Truth is we had all kindsa kicks over at the Dyansen warehouse and offices in West L.A.
That was a good crew there and I got to be pretty good friends with a few of 'em and still occasionally chat with Andrea,
who is a supergood egg and to whom this post is dedicated or whatever.)

The Trees on Arsenal (2009)
Pictures from yesterday.
Dave Paul let me borrow his camera.
(Thank you, Dave)
I took a walk East on Arsenal across from Tower Grove Park.
There are a lot of nice trees there.
I took a bunch of pictures of bark and surface details and like that,
but I did not notice they were all overexposed until I got back.
Whatever. Fuck it. Do something with them anyway.
Polish that turd! Nobody gives a shit.
