Title Cards


Here are the title cards for some okay movies you might know. Some of the designs, I think, are pretty stunning, particularly the older ones. It makes me wonder who made them and what that job must be like. I always wished I could design film credits for a living. I think I'd be good at that.

Time Enough At Last


Everybody knows this Twilight Zone episode with Burgess Meredith as the anti-social bookworm who finally gets his wish, but it's still one of my favorite bits of television. It got me thinking, when I was a kid, about what I'd do if I were the last person left on earth. I still daydream about that often...
and my glasses are made of plastic.

Motion Picture Studio Signatures


Always have loved this sort of design. We see it so much that maybe we forget that it comes from human hands but it is, in fact, the work of great designers. My favorite is the Columbia signature, but hats off to them all. Learn more if you like.
